Health insurance for foreigners in Germany

1. Scope of cover

1.1. Additional Payments

statutory additional payments for

• treatment fee for general practitioners, specialists, dentists, psychotherapists, emergency and ambulance services
• drugs and dressings
• therapeutic measures and modalities excluding visual aids
• hospitalization
• medical transport
• out- and inpatient rehabilitation
• mother/father and child cure

The reimbursable additional payments must be proved with receipts, the additional payments for drugs have to be verified through copies of the doctor’s prescription. The receipts must be issued to the insured person.

The total benefit per insurance year is limited to EUR 400.-.

1.2. Return transport
The additional costs for a medically necessary and prescribed return transport from Germany to the home country. The costs for an also insured companion are covered, as far as the companionship is medically necessary, officially ordered or mandatory on the part of the performing transport company.

1.3. Repatriation
In case of death of an insured person: the resulting necessary additional costs up to EUR 10,000.- for the Repatriation of the deceased.

1.4. Private-Liability
Benefit: up to EUR 2,000,000.-

1.5. Accidental Death
Benefit: EUR 10,000.-

1.6. Permanent Total Disability following Accident
Benefit: EUR 40,000.-
